Knowledge of and Practical Experience with:
Ability to estimate labor, material and supplies necessary to perform specific assignments; Tools and methods associated with building maintenance activities; General plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical concepts associated with building repair and maintenance; Heating and cooling systems; Time management and scheduling projects; Safe work practices ensuring that precautions, regulations and industrial hygiene are observed during all work activities.
Finding, screening tenants. This means getting your ad on craigslist to the top, which takes some finesse. Doing background checks. Making sure tenants aren't known to local police in the wrong way. Writing leases conforming to local renter's laws. Handling move-outs, preparation of premises, move-ins. Setting, collecting rents. Getting funds to correct accounts. Doing maintenance, repairs, upkeep. Dealing with evictions.
